The protection of your personal data is a priority for GearGo Fitness. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller

Data processing is carried out by GearGo Fitness. For any question, contact us at contact@geargo.fr.

2. Data collected, purposes and legal basis

We only collect the data strictly necessary for the operation of the GearGo Fitness app. The legal basis for this processing is the performance of the contract (the app's Terms of Use).

• Account data (email address, identifier): used to create your account and for authentication (email/password, Google or Apple).
• Fitness data (workout log, exercises, sets, weight, reps): used to track your sessions and provide your progress history.
• Photos taken in the app: used solely for AI recognition of workout machines. Before the very first upload, the app explicitly asks for your consent. These images are sent to OpenRouter (a third-party AI service based in the United States), which processes them in real time for identification, without retaining or storing them after analysis.
• Profile data (weight, height, sex, date of birth, goal, level): reserved for Premium subscribers, used to generate a personalized training plan via AI. Before the very first upload, the app explicitly asks for your consent. This data is sent to OpenRouter (a third-party AI service based in the United States) with each plan request, and stored in your profile to pre-fill the form for future generations.

3. Data sharing and subprocessors

Your data is neither sold nor used for advertising purposes.

It is only shared with the technical subprocessors strictly necessary for GearGo Fitness to operate:

• Hosting and authentication: database hosting and authentication management (data hosted in Europe).
• Image analysis (OpenRouter): processing of machine photos for AI identification. Photos are not retained after analysis.
• AI content generation (OpenRouter): processing of profile data to generate training plans (Premium users only).

4. Retention period

Your personal data is kept for as long as your account remains active.

After 3 years of prolonged inactivity on your part, we will automatically delete your account and associated data, after notifying you.

5. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights over your data at any time: right of access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction of processing and portability.

• To delete your account: you can do so directly from the GearGo Fitness app settings, or by contacting us at contact@geargo.fr. Deletion will take effect within a maximum of 30 days.
• To exercise your other rights, contact us at the same email address.

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights are not being respected, you may file a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
